The recent outbreak of COVID 19 has necessitated that NSW has gone into a shutdown for non-essential services.
Health services including the practice of Dr Mohammed Baba are allowed to remain OPEN.
We have the best interests of our patients, staff and community as our priority.
There are measures that our practice is undertaking and will continue to practice in line with Department of Health advice and guidelines.
Your appointment
- If you have FEVER, COUGH or ANY FLU-LIKE SYMPTOMS, we advise you to please reschedule.
- We offer telehealth as an option. This means that your doctor can call you or video conference. If you would still like to talk to your surgeon, please contact us to arrange this.
- We are minimising the number of doctors consulting and limiting the number of appointments so there are not too many patients in waiting room at any one time.
Our waiting room
- We have rearranged our consulting and waiting rooms to practise social distancing.
- We have spread our chairs out in the waiting room.
- It would be advisable to stay outdoors or in your car and come in for your appointment just before it begins.
- We strongly suggest coming ALONE for your appointment or if really needed only having 1 other person with you.
- If your doctor is running late, we will advise you to wait outdoors or in your car, and call you once the doctor is ready.
- Hand sanitisers are available in our clinics for patients and staff.
- There will be disinfectant solution and cleaners to clean surfaces on regular basis.
- We have removed any items that may be frequently handled by multiple people e.g. magazines.
Your surgery
- If you have FEVER, COUGH or ANY FLU-LIKE SYMPTOMS, we advise you to please reschedule.
- The hospital admissions and surgical centres will assess you if you have any of the above symptoms and will cancel your surgery if necessary.
Staff
- We have reduced the number of staff working at any one time.
- Any staff member who is symptomatic has been quarantined, advised not to turn up to work and get tested.
- Our staff will work from home when feasible. They are still contactable.
What you can do
- Practise social distancing. Keep 1.5 metres apart from people. Avoid prolonged contact with people unless necessary.

- Before entering an area used by other people.
- After using the bathroom.
- After coughing or sneezing.
- Before and after eating food.
- Practise good cough / sneeze etiquette:
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and dispose of it straight away; wash your hands afterwards.
